PostgreSQL 9.2 Beta w/ JSON, Ranges

Looks like PostgreSQL 9.2 will be supporting JSON directly, both in terms of converting relational data to JSON and in terms of storing JSON in the database. It will also support a large set of range types (date, alphabetical), including overlap checking, unique index support, etc.

What I respect most about PostgreSQL is that drive to continue to define and refine what it means to be a database server as that continues to evolve.
